How to teach Sight Words
Using this First Grade Sight Words Bingo, students play bingo with sight words at the first grade level!
Sight words are the most common words that your students will read. This activity gives your students practice reading these words in a fun way.
Students locate the sight word that you say on their BINGO board. Once a player gets 5 in a row, they have BINGO! Then, challenge students to create sentences using the words from their BINGO boards.

Introduce this activity by reviewing sight words using Sight Word Flash Cards. Next, distribute BINGO boards and counters to students. Then, use the Sight Word Cards and say the part aloud. Students find and cover that sight word on their board. First one with 5 in a row has BINGO! Finally, students write sentences using the sight words from their BINGO card.
