How to teach Abbreviations
Using Abbreviations Worksheet, students learn how to read and write the abbreviation for the days of the week, streets, months and names.
Knowing how to create and read an abbreviation is an important skill for students to learn. This worksheet asks students to write an abbreviation for given words.
First,read the given word. Next, write the abbreviation for that word. You can use the word bank if you need help! Make sure you use a capital letter and a period! Continue your practice by rewriting the three sentences at the bottom using abbreviations.
