Introduce this worksheet by Playing Around the World using the Contraction Flashcards. Two students stand next to each other. Show the contraction side of the flash card. Next, students race to say the two word phrase as quickly as possible. The student who says it first moves to the next person. Play continues. Then, students complete the worksheet independently or with a partner. Finally, challenge students to write as many sentences using contractions as possible!
