How to teach Punctuation
Using Including Punctuation Worksheet, students finish sentences using the correct end punctuation for the sentence type.

Students write a period, exclamation point, or question mark depending on what type of sentence was shown. Then, students write their own sentences using punctuation.

Introduce this worksheet by writing three different sentences on the board. Examples are “I like ice cream”, “Who wants to eat ice cream” and “Lets go get ice cream”. Next, ask students to help you put a period, exclamation point, and a question mark at the end of each sentence. Then, students complete worksheet independently or with a partner. Finally, students share their own examples!
