Introduce this worksheet by showing students a sentence involving a list of items, but the commas are missing. Ask students to read the sentence aloud. Next, have students notice where they pause while reading. Explain to students that when we pause, we place a comma to separate ideas and objects. Then, students complete worksheet independently or with a partner. Finally, have students practice writing their own sentences with an example of a list.
