Introduce this activity by writing the suffix NESS on the board. Next, ask students to give you examples of words that have these suffixes. Then, students complete the activity independently or with a partner. Finally, challenge students to come up with their own words with suffixes. Once finished, students look for examples of words with suffixes in their books.
