Description
How to teach Solar System
Using Solar System Activity, students play Space Race to practice identifying and correctly ordering the eight planets in our solar system.
Knowing the order of the planets will help your students as they learn more about each planet. The further the planet is away from the Sun changes the make up of the planet. This activity will help your students know all about the solar system.
Attach the two Space Race pages together so that all eight planets are lined up. The goal of this game is to be the fastest player to fill up their solar system. Players take turns spinning the Space Spinner. When a player lands on a planet, they can place that planet on their solar system. Planets should be placed in the actual order of the solar system. If a player lands on a planet that is already in their solar system, their turn is skipped. The first player to fill their solar system is the winner!
