How to teach CVC Words
Using this Memorial Day Middle Sounds Activity, studentspractice stretching out words and identifying the middle vowel sound.
CVC words make up a lot of the words your students encounter. This activity gives them practice reading CVC words with short vowel sounds.
Select a picture card. Say the word aloud and listen for the middle vowel sound. Place the vowel letter title on the card to complete the word. After you’ve completed all of the words, check your answer on the answer sheet.Complete the worksheet provided.
