Measure the lines using the given ladybugs and write the number of ladybugs in the circle at the end of the line. After you finish measuring with ladybugs, measure the objects on the worksheet with cubes.

Use this Garden Measuring Activity as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this activity by reviewing with students about good measurement practices (making sure the cubes are touching each other, starting at the beginning of the object and counting the cubes at the end of the object, etc). Then, distribute ladybugs to students so they can begin measuring. As student measure, monitor and give adjusting feedback to make sure that measurements are correct. Finally, students can work independently or in small groups to order objects from measure the objects on the worksheet.
