Description
How to teach Number Lines
In this 2.MD.6 Second Grade Common Core lesson, students will add and subtract within 100 on a number line.
Number lines are a helpful strategy for your students to use when solving addition and subtraction problems. This lesson will give your students practice with single digit addition equations.
Students will shuffle cards and place in a pile. Students will begin at 50 on the number line and then move based on the directions on the card. As students move on the number line, they will write the equation on the score sheet. The first player to 100 wins!
