In this 4.NF.2 Fourth Grade Common Core Lesson, students Compare two fractions with different numerators and different denominators with symbols >, =, or <.
Comparing fractions will help your students help your students determine which slice of pie or pizza that they want! This lesson is perfect for small group, math centers or independent practice.
Play Fraction War to compare fractions with symbols >, =, or <. First, shuffle and deal all the cards to two players. Then, each player flips over the top card. Remember to create common denominators before comparing! The player that has the bigger fraction wins thecards.Next, record each card flip on your recording sheet. Finally, continue practicing with the provided worksheets individually or with a partner.
