### How to teach Inequalities

In this 4.NF.2 Fourth Grade Common Core Lesson, students Compare two fractions with different numerators and different denominators with symbols >, =, or <.

Play Fraction War to compare fractions with symbols >, =, or <.  First, shuffle and deal all the cards to two players. Then, each player flips over the top card. Remember to create common denominators before comparing! The player that has the bigger fraction wins the cards.Next, record each card flip on your recording sheet.  Finally, continue practicing  with the provided worksheets individually or with a partner.

After the activity, share students' discussions that you heard to promote comparing fractions. Finally, student can continue their practice using the provided worksheets individually or with a partner.
