How to teach Power of Ten

In this 5.NBT.2 Fifth Grade Common Core lesson, students explain patterns in the number of zeros of the product when multiplying and dividing a number by powers of 10.

This lesson teaches students how to look for patterns when multiplying and dividing by powers of 10. This lesson is perfect for small group, math centers or independent practice.
