How to teach Area
In this 3.MD.7 Third Grade Common Core Lesson, studentsfind the area of a vegetable garden by relating addition and multiplication.
This lesson teaches students how to create a shape given specific dimensions. This lesson is perfect for small group, math centers or independent practice.
Students match the fruit and vegetable gardens to the number sentences and answers that are equal to the area of the garden. Then, they continue their practice with the provided worksheets.
