How to teach Compound Words

UsingCompound Words Activity, students match pictures cards to compound word cards to build their reading fluency.

Your students will encounter compound words in many of the books and passages that they read. This activity familiarizes your students thirty compound words.

Match each picture card with a compound word. For the first worksheet, choose 10 words to divide into its two parts. For the second worksheet, choose 5 words to use in a sentence.
