How to teach Factors
Using Just the Factors Worksheet, students write the factors for each of the numbers provided in order to build their multiplication skills.
Knowing factors will help your students multiply and divide easier. It will also help as they find equivalent fractions. This practice gives them practice with factorization. Your students will need this first step before they learn Greatest Common Factors.

Next, show students how to create factor rainbows to show the pairs of numbers. Then, students complete worksheet independently or with a partner. Finally, challenge students to come up with other factor for other numbers!
