How to teach Fractions
Using this Pizza For All Equal Parts Fractions Activity, students cut shapes into small parts and then describe them as halves, fourths, or quarters.
This activity will give students a first look at fractions. They will split shapes into equal parts and then label the given fraction as halves, thirds, or quarters.
Mix the Fraction Activity Picture Cards into a pile. Draw a Picture Card. Each player must use their Pizza Worksheet to draw the fraction shown on the Picture Card. The first student to successfully draw the fraction on their Pizza Worksheet gets a Pizza Reward Card for that fraction. Laminate the Pizza Worksheets and use a marker for extended use
