How to teach Number Patterns
In this Pattern Fun Arithmetic Activity, students generate two numerical patterns using two given rules and identify apparent relationships between corresponding terms.
Being able to recognize number patterns will help your students as they discover relationships between numbers. This activity will help your students to look carefully at numbers for relationships.
Match the problem cards to the rule cards. Then, complete the activity sheets. Finally, challenge your students to create their own number patterns.
