Use this Candy Land Shapes Activity as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this activity by listening to the Have Fun Teaching Shape Song. Next, students share examples of 2-D and 3-D shapes . Then, students create shapes using marshmallows and toothpicks. Finally, students share aspects (sides, edges, etc) of each shape they created. This lesson works well in many different situations as full class, math center, or independent work.
