Using this What Time is It Elapsed Time Worksheet, students calculate the new elapsed time by adding minutes to the original time.
Elapsed Time is a useful math skill for our students to use outside of the class. This worksheet will show your students situations where they need to know how much time has passed.
Students use the provided beginning and end times to find out how long an activity lasts. Then, students create their own word problems practicing elapsed time.
If you are using this worksheet, your students are probably learning about elapsed time.
Use this Time In The Kitchen Time Intervals Activity as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this worksheet by using an analog clock to find how much time has passed. Use the clock to show time passing and the recording hours and then minutes that pass. Next, have students give tips to figuring out how to find the time that passes from the start to end of an event. Then, students complete the worksheet independently or with a partner. Finally, have students come up with their own events to challenge their partners!
