This What Time Is It to 5 Minutes Activity teaches students about how to tell and write time from analog and digital clocks to the nearest five
This activity will give students the opportunity to read a clock to the hour and half hour. Since this is most likely students first experience with telling time, students will love having this activity at a center for additional practice!
Label a clock to review before playing dominoes to match analog and digital
clocks to their numerical time.
If you are using this activity, your students are probably learning about telling time.
Use this Put the Time in the Coconut Activity as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this activity by listening to the Have Fun Teaching Counting by Fives Song. Next, model matching a couple of analog and digital clocks together and thinking aloud about how you made your choices. Then, students complete the activity independently or with a partner. Finally, students can continue their practice with the worksheets.
