How to teach CVCe Words
Using this Adding Silent E Worksheet, students add a silent E to the end of CVC words to build their reading fluency with CVCe words.
Silent E is super. Adding an E to the end of a word can change the short
vowel sound to a long vowel sound, creating a new word. This worksheet gives them practice with reading words that have a silent E at the end of them.
Students add a silent E to the end of CVC words. Then, students read new words aloud.
