How to teach Vowels
Using the EA Worksheet, students use the word bank to complete the sentence with a double vowel word.
Being able to fill in a blank builds your students critical thinking ability. This worksheet gives them practice to determine which word best completes the sentences.
Students fill in the blank with double consonants from the word bank to complete the sentence. Then, students write sentences using the words from the worksheet.

Introduce this worksheet byhaving students share examples of different words with EA in them. Then, students complete the worksheet independently or with a partner. Once finished, have students go on a text scavenger hunt looking for EA words. Create an anchor chart or word wall for students to share out their words to use in their writing.
