This Alphabet Letter Recognition Assessment is perfect for teaching and assessing uppercase letter recognition and lowercase letter recognition.

In this assessment, students will say letter names and sounds as they take this oral assessment. As a teacher, do this alphabet letter recognition assessment with your student to find out which letters they know and which letters they need to work on.

This assessment tests all of the uppercase and lowercase letters and will give you a good idea of where your students are and what they need help with.

To assess your student’s letter recognition, start with the top of the worksheet and have your student point to each letter and say the letter. For example…C, Q, G, K, and so on.

Then, go to the bottom of the worksheet and have your student point to each letter and say the letter. For example…T, Z, D, H, and so on.
