How to teach CVC Words

Using this CVC Practice Worksheet, students write a letter in each box to make a CVC word for each picture by sounding out letter sounds.

CVC words make up a lot of the words your students encounter. By sounding out each word, your students focus on beginning, middle, and end letter sounds. This worksheet gives them practice sounding out and reading CVC words.

Students look at the provided picture. Then, students write a letter in each box to form the CVC word.
