How to teach Blends
Using the Phonemes Worksheet, students use break down each word to write the letter sound or blend that they hear to write the word.
Each word has three sounds, but may have more than three letters. Sometimes letters work together to make one sound. The sounds you hear in the words are called phonemes. This worksheet gives them practice using common words that they will encounter in their reading.
Listen to the sounds you hear. Think about the sounds each letter or blend makes. Complete the phonemes.
