How to teach Compare and Contrast
Using Compare and Contrast Across Cultures Activity, students compare and contrast two or more versions of the same story by different authors or from different cultures.
It is important for our students to know a lot about other cultures. Your students will read two stories from different countries to learn about cultures tell the same story differently.
Students will read two or more versions of the same story and then compare the versions using the graphic organizer.

Use this Irish, Italian, and Asian Customs & Cultures Worksheet as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this activity by showing a picture of two kids from different countries. Next, students share ideas how the kids are the same and different. Then, students read independently or with a partner using the graphic organizer. Finally, students share what they have read about. Once finished, students write more in order to compare and contrast the two books.
