Use this Story Elements Graphic Organizer as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this worksheet by writing a phrase on the board like “I’m sorry” or “They looked mad”. Next, students share ideas about what they think is happening in the story based on those two statements. Then, students read independently or with a partner using the graphic organizer. Finally, students share what they have read about. Once finished, students continue their practice using the provided worksheets.
