How to teach Text Features
Using RI.4.7 Fourth Grade Common Core Lesson, students make connections between the text of a story or drama and a visual or oral presentation of the text, identifying where each version reflects specific descriptions and directions in the text.
Many books have been turned into movies. There are many similarities between movies and books. This lesson gives your students practice with comparing the book and movie.

Introduce this lesson by showing your students two pictures of the same story like Cinderella or Three Bears. Next, students share what they know and see in the picture. Then, students complete activity independently or with a partner. Finally, students continue their practice using the provided worksheet. Once finished, students share similarities and differences between two stories.
