Use this Comparing Three Texts Graphic Organizer Worksheet as an additional resource for your students.

Introduce this lesson by reading two poems about love or friendship. Next, ask students how the texts were the same and different.  Then, students read two texts about the same story and use the graphic organizer to record similarities. Finally, students share similarities of the two texts. Once finished, students continue their practice with the provided worksheets.
