Using Sequence of Events Activity, students retell familiar stories, including key details with support and prompting.
Being able determine the summarize text that you are reading helps your students understand what they have read. This activity will help your students organize their thoughts as they read.
Read a familiar story and practice how to retell in order using key details and sequence. Next, retell the story using words, props, or pictures. Then, use the organization cards to introduce the transition words First, Next, Then, and Last.
