How to teach Classification
Using this Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner Classifying Food Worksheet, students sort different types of food into three categories based on what time of day you would eat it.
Being able to classify objects helps students to find groupings within objects. It helps their brain organize objects.
Students look at the different types of food. Then, compare the pictures which foods are eaten at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Finally, cut out the pictures and glue them or write the foods into the proper columns below.

Introduce this worksheet by showing students a bunch of different objects. Ask them different ways that they could organize these into groups.
