Using this Florida Wildlife Animal Project, students research, design a poster, create a model and give a presentation to learn about the animals that live in Florida.
Learning how to conduct research is a difficult skill for students to learn. This project gives students guiding questions that will help them narrow their research about an animal that lives in Florida.
Students use the research questions to find out more about an animal that lives in Florida. They can record their findings in the Florida Wildlife Project Folder and then use that information to design a poster, create a model and give a presentation.
If you are using this project, your students are most likely learning about habitats.
Use these Animal Habitat Activity as an additional resource to support your students.
Introduce this lesson by having students think of questions that they have about animals that live in Florida. Use this as a starting point for them to begin their research about these animals. Then, distribute this folder and research materials so they can begin researching their animals. Once students have researched, they can continue to complete the poster, model, and presentation.
