Healthy Hippos Fruits and Vegetables Activity

How to teach Fruits and Vegetables

Using Healthy Hippos Fruits and Vegetables Activity, students play Healthy, Healthy Hippos to practice identifying fruits and vegetables

Knowing the difference between fruits and vegetables will ensure that your students have a balanced diet. This activity will help them know different fruits and vegetables.

The object of the game is to get rid of all of your cards by feeding them to the hippo. To play, roll the die and move that many spaces. If you land on a purple square, feed the hippo a fruit card from your hand. If you land on a blue square, feed the hippo a vegetable card from your hand. If you don’t have the correct card, your turn is skipped. The first player to feed the hippo all of their cards is the winner!
