Introduce this worksheet by showing different machines. Next, ask students questions about how and why they complete their job. Then, challenge students to predict whether the machine will push or pull to complete their job. Finally, students complete the worksheet independently or with a partner. Once finished, students should think of other machines that they could add to the push and pull categories.
