Using What Does a Plant Need Activity, students read and sing the poem ‚ÄúWhat Do Plants Need?‚Äù sung to the tune of Frere Jacques.
Plants need many things to grow and survive. This activity will help your students learn about the needs that plants have to be able to grow.
Use the poem to introduce and review the four needs of a plant. Students can read the poem independently in centers and highlight the needs of a plant as they read.Use the pocket chart sentence cards for shared or independent reading. Complete the sentence ‚ÄúPlants need ______‚Äù using the picture or word cards.A fill-in-the-black worksheet and drawing worksheet are included to further review the needs of a plant.
