How to teach Recycling
Using Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Worksheet, students sort items that can be recycled to cut down on waste.
It is up to us to keep our environment clean and safe by reusing and reducing, as well as recycling. Reducing waste means to fix things instead of throwing them away. Reusing items, instead of tossing them into the trash, can lessen our waste and save resources.
Look at the items pictured below. Then, think about what can be recycled. Finally, cut out the pictures that can be recycled and paste them onto page 2.

Use this Go Green Recycle Activity as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this worksheet by conducting a discussion about what it means to recycle. Next, have students give examples of different materials that can be recycled. Then, students complete worksheet independently or with a partner. Finally, have students add more materials that can be recycled to the list.
