How to teach Vocabulary
Using L.2.5 Second Grade Common Core Lesson, students demonstrate understanding of figurative language, word relationships and nuances in word meanings.
This lesson teaches students how to use figurative language and descriptive language. This lesson is perfect for small group, literacy centers or independent practice.
Use the word and picture cards to play go fish, memory, or a matching game. Then, write and draw pictures using words from the sort in the Figurative Language book. Finally, students continue their practice using the provided worksheets.
