Left and Right Simon Says Opposites Activity

How to teach Opposites

Using Left and Right Simon Says Opposites Activity, students play this fun game to practice identifying left and right.

Knowing the differences between left and right is important for your students. This activity will help your students practice the difference between left and right.

Choose between the Left/Right labeled game mat or the unlabeled game mat and place in front of all players. Select one player to be Simon for a round. Deal picture cards out to players. Simon draws a “Simon Says” card and reads the rebus-style directions. The player with that picture must place the picture on either the right or left side according to Simon’s directions. Game continues until one player discards all of their picture cards.
