If you are using this worksheet, your students are probably learning about multiples of ten multiplication.
Use this Multiplying By Tens Activity as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce by showing students 3 x 1= 3 and 3 x 10= 30. Next, students share what they notice about the two equations. Challenge students to figure out the product of 3 x 100. Then, students complete the worksheet individually or with a partner. Finally, students create their own multiplication equations showing multiplying by 10s. Once finished, challenge your students to write explanations of how they can figure out the pattern. This activity is a great addition to your math centers or early finishers activities. It is an easy activity for you to even send home for additional practice.
