How to teach Prepositions
Using this On the Road to Gold Prepositions Activity, students demonstrate their understanding of the function of prepositions in general and their function in particular sentences.
Knowing how to use prepositions is an important skill for students to learn. This activity asks students to underline prepositional phrases to demonstrate their understanding.
Prepare this activity by printing on cardstock. Then, cut out each card before laminating and cutting again.
Students will read the sentences on each laminated card. Using a wet- or dry-erase marker, they will underline each prepositional phrase. Some cards may have more than one prepositional phrase. Students will then record their answers on the provided worksheet.
