How to teach Animal Adaptions
Using Adaptation Worksheet, students describe how each animal has physically or behaviorally adapted to environment.
Using the worksheet, students will describe how animals behaviorally and physically adapt to their environment.
First, read about each animal. Then, write a description about how that animal has adapted to fit its environment. Finally, draw a picture to show the animal's adaption.

Introduce the worksheet by showing examples of bird's beaks. Next, students brainstorm different reasons for different style beaks. Then, students read and complete the worksheet individually or with a partner! Finally, students can draw examples of different beaks and their usage. Once finished, students could go on a scavenger hunt looking for examples of birds' beaks.
