Thank you for choosing to be part of our community at Have Fun Teaching (“company,” “HFT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This policy applies to all information collected through our websites (such as HaveFunTeaching.com), mobile application, and any related services, sales, marketing, or events (collectively, the “Sites”).
In accordance with Google and Google Analytics data collection, you acknowledge that you have read the necessary privacy disclosures and rights for the collection and processing of your data, including the association of that data with the visitation information Google Analytics collects from this site.
1. What Information Do We Collect?
Personal information you disclose to us
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when registering on the Sites or Apps, expressing interest in our products and services, participating in activities (such as posting in our forums, sending messages, or entering competitions, contests, or giveaways), or otherwise contacting us. The personal information we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the choices you make, and can include:
Name & contact. Your first and last name, email address, postal address, phone number, and similar contact data.
Credentials. Passwords, password hints, and similar security information used for authentication and account access.
Payment data. Data needed to process your payment, such as your payment-instrument number and security code. All payment data is stored by our payment processor — please review its privacy policy.
Social login. If you register using a social media account (like Facebook or X), we collect the information described in “Social logins” below.
All personal information you provide must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes.
Information automatically collected
This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, and information about how and when you use our Sites. It is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Sites and for internal analytics and reporting. Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies, and we may obtain information from other sources such as public databases, marketing partners, and social media platforms.
2. How Do We Use Your Information?
We use the information we collect or receive to:
- Facilitate account creation and the logon process (including linking a third-party account, with your consent).
- Send you administrative information, such as changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.
- Fulfill and manage your orders, payments, returns, and exchanges.
- Deliver content and advertising tailored to your interests and measure its effectiveness.
- Request feedback and contact you about your use of our Sites.
- Keep our Sites safe and secure (for example, fraud monitoring and prevention).
- Enable user-to-user communications with your consent.
- Enforce our terms, conditions, and policies.
- Support other business purposes such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, and improving our Sites, products, and services.
3. Will Your Information Be Shared With Anyone?
We only share and disclose your information in the following situations:
Compliance with laws. Where legally required to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.
Vital interests & rights. Where necessary to investigate, prevent, or act on potential policy violations, suspected fraud, threats to safety, or illegal activity.
Business transfers. In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
With your consent. For any other purpose, with your consent.
4. Do We Use Cookies & Other Tracking Technologies?
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. Most web browsers accept cookies by default; you can usually set your browser to remove or reject cookies, though this could affect certain features of our Sites.
5. Do We Use Google Maps?
This website, mobile application, or Facebook application uses Google Maps APIs, governed by Google’s Terms of Service. By using our Maps implementation, you agree to be bound by Google’s Terms of Service and allow us to obtain or cache your location. You may revoke your consent at any time. We use location information in conjunction with data from other providers.
6. How Do We Handle Your Social Logins?
Where you choose to register or log in using a third-party social media account, we will receive certain profile information from that provider — which often includes your name, email address, friends list, and profile picture, along with other information you choose to make public. We use this information only for the purposes described in this policy. We do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your information by your social media provider, so we recommend reviewing their privacy policy.
7. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
No purpose in this policy will require us to keep your personal information for longer than the period during which you have an account with us, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your information, we will delete or anonymize it — or, if that is not possible (for example, because it is stored in backups), securely store and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
8. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect any personal information we process. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. Although we do our best to protect your information, transmission to and from our Sites is at your own risk, and you should only access our services within a secure environment.
9. Do We Collect Information From Minors?
By using the Sites or Apps, you represent that you are at least 18, or that you are the parent or guardian of a minor and consent to that minor’s use. If we learn that personal information from users under 18 has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete the data. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from a child under 18, please contact us.
10. What Are Your Privacy Rights?
If you are resident in the European Economic Area and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. You can find their contact details at ec.europa.eu.

11. Do California Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (the “Shine The Light” law) permits California residents to request, once a year and free of charge, information about the categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes, and the names and addresses of those third parties. To make such a request, please submit it in writing using the contact information below.
If you are under 18, reside in California, and have a registered account, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data you have publicly posted on the Sites. To request removal, contact us with the email address associated with your account and a statement that you reside in California. We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed, though it may not be completely removed from our systems.
12. Do We Make Updates To This Policy?
The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Revised” date and will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes, we may notify you by prominently posting a notice or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this policy frequently to stay informed about how we protect your information.
