This cookies multiplication worksheet gives fourth graders a sweet way to practice solving two-step word problems. Every story is about baking, packing, or selling cookies, so students multiply with real numbers from a real kitchen. Along the way they learn that a dozen means 12, and they use that fact to turn dozens into a total count.
About This Worksheet
The sheet opens with a short reminder panel about dozens, then gives students four cookie word problems in their own numbered cards. Each problem takes two steps: students multiply to find a total, then add, subtract, or multiply again to finish. Problems include two-digit by two-digit multiplication, such as 15 trays of 18 cookies and 21 boxes of 24 cookies. A roomy work box under each problem gives children space to show every step, and a cheerful rolling pin and star cookie cutter picture ties the art to the first problem.
