Delaware students take the Delaware System of Student Assessments (DeSSA). ELA and Math in grades 3–8 use Smarter Balanced, Science is tested in grades 5 and 8 and high school Biology, and Social Studies is tested in grades 4–8 and 11.
High school: Delaware gives the PSAT 10 in grade 10 and the SAT School Day in grade 11 as its ELA and Math college readiness assessment.
K–2: There is no statewide K–2 test. State law requires K–3 reading screening three times a year using a screener from the state's approved list.
