Description
The Adding Six Matching Worksheet gives first grade students focused practice on one addition fact family: adding six. Children match five plus-six facts to their sums, then solve six more problems on their own. Working a single addend at a time is how fact fluency is actually built, because the child sees the same jump of six again and again until it stops being a count and starts being something they simply know.
Part A is a matching activity. Five fact cards sit on the left, five sums sit on the right, and the child draws a line from each fact to its answer. The sums are printed out of order, so the page cannot be solved by pairing the first card with the first answer. Part B moves from recognition to recall: six horizontal equations, each with a clear box for the answer, including adding six to zero and adding six to ten. Every sum stays within twenty, which is the first grade range.
