This Back to School Flip Books Activity is a fun and engaging way to introduce school vocabulary and get your kids excited about the new school year. Cut out the activity cards, and then staple them together to make a flip book. Read the book by following the words from left to right, top to bottom, and page by page. This activity will reinforce the organization and basic features of print.
Read aloud the vocabulary words so that the student recognizes that spoken words are represented in written language by a specific sequence of letters. Use the white space on the left side of each page to staple the pages together. Use our Sight Word Resources as extension activities before or after the lesson.
