How to teach Counting
Using this Counting by Tens Assessment Worksheet, students count to 100 by tens starting at 10 to build counting fluency.
Being able to count forwards and backwards from any number is an important skill for your students. It will help your students as they begin counting coins and skip counting. This worksheet will help you collect the data you need to know if your students are proficient counters.
Ask the student to, “Count to 100 by tens beginning with the number 10.” Then, follow along and check off the numbers as they say them aloud.
