How to teach Multiplication
Using this Grouping for Groceries Multiplication Activity, students match multiplication and division equations to the picture or array representation.
Equal Groups introduces your students to multiplication and division. Your students need to learn what it means when they are asked to multiply and divide. This activity gives students the opportunity to match equations to pictures and arrays.
Cut out all food cards and rulers. Next, read the description of the group on the food card. Then, match the description to the multiplication sentence. Finally, students practice their multiplication facts.
