You may introduce this activity by reviewing 2D shape names using the Have Fun Teaching Shape Song. Next, display different real world examples of each of the 2-D shapes. Then, distribute the 2-D shape activity and materials. As students work, circulate around the classroom to listen to discussions students have about 2-D shapes.
